Forging their own unique footprint in the music world, Dojo Rise brings a vibrant uplifting sound; an award winning eclectic
fusion of alternative reggae, rock, pop and indie soul.
From Aldinga, South Australia (Ngaltingga, Kaurna Yerta), Dojo Rise have been firing up crowds since their first show in
2021.
“the band had the audience in the palm of their hand from the opening number, ‘A Little Love’. The crowd packed the front
of the stage, something unusual for supporting bands at Gov gigs” – Geoff Jenke, Hifiway.live
Influenced by the new wave of reggae, dub, soul outfits such as Fat Freddy’s Drop, The Black Seeds, Stick Figure and L.A.B.
The trio – Adam Blesing (Vox, Bass), Sean Dedrick (Vox, Guitar, Production), and Anthony Sherwood (Drums) – have gone on
to release 9 singles and 3 EP’s with airplay on Triple J, Double J, ABC Radio, Community stations Australia wide, and recently
won the People’s Choice Award in the Blues and Roots category at the 2023 South Australian Music Awards.
“Really sinking into that Dub Reggae and Soul sound. They are building the foundation, I think within this country, for that
sound, and I absolutely love it” Tyrone Pynor, Triple J.
